The Brides-les-Bains footbridge is the winner of the 2022 Eiffel Trophies, "Crossing" category! The jury, chaired by architect Manuelle Gautrand, underlined: "Crossing with steel is a queen category. We are used to seeing spectacular structures there, and we made a reverse choice with a modest structure. But its use of steel, both as structure and covering, in a logic of pedestrian city and reappropriation of public space, seemed really interesting to us. Not to mention the poetry that emerges from it, thanks to the use of mirror-polished stainless steel."////

Nu Architecture & Ingénierie was awarded withe the "First Work" prize at the Equerre d'Argent for its footbridge project in Brides-les-Bains, Savoie.
“In a deep and dark valley most of the year, the footbridge injects light by playing with the reflections of the torrent it spans on the mirror-polished stainless steel sides. The architect/engineer duo knew how to breathe poetry into an engineering work, and make a technical object an element of seduction in the landscape. An intervention of great finesse that ennobles an infrastructure project."////

Nu recently worked on the design and construction of the Empalot footbridge over the Garonne, carried by Toulouse Métropole. 170 m crossing between the Empalot district and the island of Ramier. On a constrained and sensitive site, our proposal accompanies the transition between city and nature. Playing between presence and transparency, the project pays great attention to what already exists through the lightness of its landings. The work aims to be an incarnation of the Toulouse Trinity: dense city, Garonne and desired Nature.////
